Ghacem Ltd

Ghacem Ltd a company in Tema which produces and sells cement donated 300 bags of cement with a market value of around Gh¢ 10000.00 towards educational infrastructure in Chamba. This was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Chamba Circuit Education Trust Fund, the Catholic Bishop’s office in Yendi and the Nanumba North Directorate of Education.

Hon. Nayon Moses Bilijo

Hon. Nayon Moses Bilijo the Minister of state in charge of Fisheries and Aquaculture donated Ghc1000.00 to the cause of the Chamba Circuit Education Trust Fund. Hon. Bilijo who was the chairman of the fund raising event at the Christ the King Parish Hall in Accra, lauded the initiative by the people of Chamba towards improving the standards of education in the Community. He as well appealed to well-meaning individuals and organisations to contribute towards this worthy cause.

Dr. Rockson Mamboah

Dr. Rockson Mamboa, the Managing Director of Ghana Supply Company and an aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) for Bimbilla Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2016 General elections made a donation of GHC1000.00 to the Trust Fund in Chamba.

Presenting the cheque to Mr. Nadun Joshua a Board Member with the Trust Secretary Mr. Christopher Tamal looking on, this was what he had to say:

“One of the best ways to help society is to invest in the education of our youth. It is my prayer that Chamba would succeed in this laudable initiative”.

Konkomba Yam Market, Accra

The leadership of the Konkomba Yam Market at Agbogbloshie in Accra honouring a pledge of Gh¢500.00 they made during the fund raising event in Accra. The Market Chairman Mr Shei Gurunjah handed the cash amount to Mr. Matthew Gmalifo Mabefam at the market’s office in Accra.

Their prayer was that, many other people will see the need to support this fund so that educational standards can be improved upon in the schools in Chamba.

Mr Jacob Gbati

Mr Jacob Gbati, the CEO of Global Cargo and Commodities Ltd, a company whose core activities are handling of cargo, shipping and clearing of imports and exports at the Tema Harbour, made a donation of  GH¢500.00 towards the cause of education in Chamba.

Mr Gbati presenting the Cheque at his office complex to Mr. William Nimoti Chankoba in Tema had this to say about education:  “Education is the bedrock of every development, the bane of our under development is rooted in our lack of education. Therefore any efforts made towards educating the people, is a long lasting solution. Education has a multiplier effect, at the end of the day; it improves health, eliminates ignorance, generates employment and leads to the general improvement of the area. The only way the area can catch up with the rest of the country in terms of development is through education. Helping to educate the people is a collective responsibility of everybody, especially the youth in and around that vicinity”.
